We got up in plenty of time even after loosing one hour of sleep, and set off for church, which should have been just 3/4 hour away in Redlands. This is over to the Los Angeles side of the mountains outside of San Bernardino. But, going along Interstate 210, we came to an abrupt stop, and then slowly inched our way forward for a several miles until we passed a bunch of police cars with their lights flashing. We arrived just 5 minutes late to the Sovereign Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Chruch, which meets in the auditorium of a Christian Retirement Home. Man! I forgot to take a picture. I could write a 1000 word essay, but you probably wouln't want that.
After the service, we headed just down the road to Bogart Park (N33 59 16.1, W116 57 14.2) just on the outskirts of Beaumont, where there was a nice little inexpensive county park, with campsites among the trees. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. We cooked up the rest of the mexican meal that we brought home from the restaurant last evening. The lady in the tiny tiny tent next door must have been pretty crowded with the big boy, and smaller girl she was with!
Went for a walk in the morning around the park, which was quite large, and mostly picnicing areas. Doreen thought this house that was perched attop a high hill (taken with the camera zoomed max), was much less "tacky" than the area we first went through in Washington!
We are heading for Borrego Springs, and there may not be AT&T service there - I don't know.
