Camping in the Desert

After our walk around the park, we set off down Interstate 10. When you see all these windmills, you know you're near the Warke's favorite place. Past Palm Springs a few miles we turned south and headed down to Borrego Springs, one of our favorite places.
We just camp out in the desert when we visit here (N33 17 58.1, W116 17 05.4). There are lots of other RVs around, but sparcely spaced. It was a pleasant 88 degrees F (31 degrees for Eric & Sarah), and with a gentle breeze and dry air. Doreen can take this! I didn't expect to get AT&T service here, as it's really in the middle of nowhere, but it's 4G and quite good.

We lit a campfire after enhancing a fire ring that was already here, and cooked our supper on it, and then sat around in the evening as the sun went down. In the picture Doreen has just thrown the burgers on the fire grill, and leaped back because that fire was really hot! Even after the sun was set, it was still shorts and short sleeve weather. The sun is far gone now, and it's really dark out here, except for the moon messing up the night sky!
