Campground Full

I took this picture of a few of the RVs camped in the casino parking lot. It is hard to get many of them in one picture, and this is just a very small portion of the ones parked there, but includes ours. Doreen and I did wander into the casino before we left and used the washrooms.

We drove to the north side of the city to the Tucson Mall, which is a very large and fancy shopping mall - larger than any of the ones in Victoria. After wandering around in there for awhile, we drove still further north and visited the Foothills Mall, which was really old, dark and dismal compared to the previous one.

We continued on north to Catalina State Park, where we had hoped to camp, and found it full. That's always a led down! So, it was back to the drawing boards, but it was only about 2pm, so we had lots of time to find another place. Tucson is a difficult place to camp, and we ended up having to go to another somewhat expensive private park. This, of course is the reasoning behind the city outlawing overnight parking at Walmart. The RV parks lobby the city on this issue until council passes a bylaw. When one only wants a place to park for the night, and not all the extras like swimming pool, water and sewer, then it's a waste to have to pay for all that.

This park, Prince of Tucson RV Park (N32 16 16.7, W111 00 39.4), like most private parks has WiFi internet connection. But, I find they never work very well. If you went up to the office with your computer, it would work, but back where the RVs are, the signal is usually so weak that the connection is pretty sporatic. So, I end up using may AT&T time.
