First thing in the morning, we set off into Borrego Springs to a garage sale, which all the locals said not to miss. It was at a fancy trailer/golf park just on the south side of town. Judging from the price of most things, I think all the venders thought everyone else is as rich as them.
But Doreen did find a pair of shorts for a dollar, which was a real bargain
It was back to our desert hidout to soak up some sun. Then back into Borrego Springs for a Mexican lunch at Jilberto's a restaurant just by Christmas Circle. Here is Doreen sitting out front sporting her new one dollar shorts! Now, if you are ever in Borrego Springs it is a must that you visit Jiberto's for a Mixican meal. I don't think you can do any better than that!
After lunch, we headed to the other side of town where Doreen did a small wash at the laundromat, before heading back to the desert. By the time we got back, a gusty wind had picked up a bit. They're not forecasting wind, so I hope this is just a passing thing. But the wind can get really bad around here at times.
Have you ever seen a flag like this? This is a group of four big motorhomes from BC that are parked fairly near to us. Maybe you'd call this a CanAm flag.
The wind is still pretty strong as it's getting dark, so no campfire tonight :(
