After a morning walk down Parker Dam Road, we set off down around into Arizona again through Parker, and up the Colorado past where we camped last night. We went in to La Paz County Park, a place where we had stayed a few years ago, but it was all full and they were parking people in a overflow parking lot. We continued on up to Lake Havasu, and tried Crazy Horse Campground which is right near London Bridge. They had a few spots left, supposedly, and assigned us a site. We went there, but there was a motorhome already in that spot, so it was back to the checkin place. They assigned us another spot, where we went to find a motorhome parked in that site too. By this time, we were thinking we didn't really like this place anyway, and the second time back to the checkin we just asked for our money back. On we went to the Lake Havasu State Park, where they only had camping in their overflow parking lot, and that's where we are tonight (N34 29 34.3, W114 21 35.1).
Lake Havasu is formed by the Parker Dam on the Colorado River, and the claim to fame of the town is the old London Bridge which was dismantled in London, England, and brought over here to be reassembled.
