We couldn’t resist the nice warm sunny weather in this nice scenic lake area, so we booked for another day. Here is Doreen with our early morning coffee, showing our own Saguaro cactus in the background.

This is really a big campground, but it is maybe about 1/10 full.
After breakfast we headed down to a beach that is a couple of miles down the road. You can drive right down onto the beach, and there were numerous RVs camping here. It was a beautiful day at the beach.
Harley had a great time in the water.
After lunch, while Doreen had a nap, Mr. Cube and I rode down the road about 6 miles to the Roosevelt Dam that forms the lake. We rode across this bridge just before coming to the dam.
This is the lake side of the dam.
And this is the river side. The dam was built mainly to provide a reservoir of water for agricultural use, but it also has a hydroelectric plant.

And Roosevelt Lake formed by the dam, all named after President Teddy Roosevelt.
Looks like a beautiful place to spend an extra day or two. Is the Salt River actually salty or is that just the name of the river. We went to Butchart Gardens for our highlight of the day. It is starting to warm up and it seems to be clearing off a bit (but it has been quite windy. Have a good night and we look forward to hearing about your adventures tomorrow. Luv2both (T&S ❤️🙏🏼)
