We got away maybe half an hour earlier today, but we had numerous stops along the way shopping for groceries, and gas.We made it over to the Alaska Highway finally just north of Dawson Creek. Its a beautiful highway with very wide grassy areas on each side. It must cost a lot to maintain all the grass land. It is hilly, but not mountainous, so it is a nice drive. We spent about 6 hours of driving, and we headed for a nice place called Sikanni RV Park (N57 14 15.3, W122 41 36.3), that we had picked out on the internet. It had laundry, which was the main thing that Sarah wanted for all the kids cloths. But when we got there, it was a sight to behold, but we decided to stay anyway.
I took some pictures of the office building, but had the camera on the wrong setting so they came out black and white. But they give a better impression this way as to what the place looked like.
The site where we camped was not too bad, and the laundry worked ok for Sarah.
We hope to get up for an early start tomorrow and try to make it to our destination of Laird Hot Springs!
