Next stop was Dease Lake where we filled up with fuel even though we both had 2/3 tank full, because we didn't know when the next fuel stop might be. At times the weather started to clear up a bit so you could see that the scenery would be really nice on a good day, with steep high snow capped mountains. We pulled in to our campground at Kinaskan Lake Provincial Park (N57 31 48.1, W130 11 35.3) at about 3pm. It was calm winds and almost warm when the sun peaked through at times. Mostly it was cloudy and cool though, but not as bad as the night before.
Our campsites were right on the lake, and it would be a really nice scenic spot if the weather was better.
Eric got the kayaks out, and he and Caleb & Eli went out for a paddle down the shore in nice calm waters. He said the water was crystal clear when you looked down at the bottom.
