We went for a walk all around the campground before taking off this morning. That meant going downhill to the lake, and back up hill again, which was not to Doreen's liking. But it was good exercise for her! Then it was down the Coquihalla (Highway 5) past Merritt to Hope. We haven't traveled the Coquihalla for years. Wow, it's up and down, and up, up, up, and down, down, down! Gives Miss Travelaire a good workout! Then after stopping in Hope for coffee, it was across Highway 1 towards Vancouver, with all it's fast traveling traffic. But the ringer is Highway 10. You would think they could find a better way to get from Highway 1 to the Tsawwassan Ferry. There are at least a hundred traffic lights (maybe an exaggeration, but 50 isn't), all of which were red.
We were happy that there was a 2 pm ferry today, I guess as a result of the long weekend, because we weren't in time for 1 pm. So we didn't have a long wait, and here we are ready to leave the dock.
I was hoping to get a picture of the other ferry that you usually meet in active pass, but no ferry appeared. Active Pass is always a good picture anyway.
And here is Miss Travelaire safe and sound at home: no broken bones, no scrapes or buises, her new shoes a bit scuffed but not worn through. She could stand a shower, and a bit of makeup before going into the garage for a rest, which will have to wait until next week sometime.
