Woke up this morning to ice on the ground; there are puddles all over the place from all the snow having melted recently, and the puddles were all frozen this morning. By the time we left though, they were all melted again with the bright sun shining down on them. Notice all the water lying around in the picture, and for all our driving these days, there was a lot of water in the ditches and even in the forrests in a lot of places.
The sign for this RV park was huge, and there was no trouble seeing it from the road. The "full hookups" part I thought was funny, with the signs on all the water hookups saying not to drink the water.
And we had sunshine all day. In fact in the afternoon, we almost thought about putting on the truck air conditioner it was so warm. I had looked at an RV park just east of Winnepeg to aim for since we were getting low on water, and this park seemed reasonable. But when we got there the place was a dump, and again there were signs all over the place not to drink the water!
Well, we should have stayed there anyway! We headed out to find a WiFi place to look up more camping spots, but Manitoba doesn't seem to believe in them. We drove further and further in towards Winnipeg, and visited several Fast Food joints, but no WiFi. I miss my AT&T service! Once we got into the city, that canned finding a good campground, so we headed for a Truck Stop, and ended up at the Husky Truck Stop after trying the Flying J without liking it. They were all the way on the west side of the city, so now we are past Winnipeg! There are Walmarts all over the place, of course, but the Canadian Walmarts mostly all close at 10 or 11 in the evening, and I feel less comfortable staying at them overnight.
We like to be near a big city on Saturday so we can find a church. But it seems all the churches are on the east side of the city, and the Truck Stops are on the west side!
