Oh! Canada!

We traveled this morning down towards Niagara Falls, and went across the Rainbow Bridge. No problems with Customs and Immigration, and we felt a big sigh of relief to be out of that foreign country! (no just kidding!) Now here's where we needed a small camera that Doreen could point out the window and take pictures (my iphone is old, and the camera is pretty useless). There is no place to park at the falls without going into an expensive parking lot (for just a few minutes to look). And Doreen kept saying in my ear, "I've seen the falls before, we don't need to stop!" So, we just drove past, got sprayed with the mist coming up over the road, and turned onto roads leading to the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way). And we were on our way to TO (Toronto, Ontario). Although, our GPS lady never admitted that it was the QEW; the whole way she was referring to it as Highway 402 (weird!)

 

And, it was over the bridge at Hamilton, around through Mississauga, up 427 to 401, all 8 lanes each way, all traveling 20 or 30 km/h faster than we'd like to go. And there were gusty winds today making Miss Travelaire want to jump into the ditch and hide. But, everything flowed along nicely, and we arrived at Glen Rouge Campground (N43 48 20.6, W79 08 27.9) on the east end of Scarborough, on the east end of Toronto, and still intact.

 

We put the awning out because it was sprinkling rain now and again, and that way we could enjoy sitting out. But we were here for just a couple of hours when my niece Jenny, my sister Marjorie's daughter came by, and we sat in the motorhome for two or three hours chatting. That was really nice.

 

As, I said, we need a simpler camera to take pictures out the window; with all this traffic you can't just pull over. So, another picture-less (and dreary, weather-wise) day, I'm afraid.

 

And now that we are out of the USA, we no longer have AT&T service (and I managed to use up pretty much all of my data), so we are left with WiFi, of which we have none at this park. I don't know whether we could get Telus service on my ipad, but I hardly think it is worth it. So, my postings may be a little sporadic from now on.
