Remedy For Arthritis

Soon after we were up and had our morning coffee, I decided to go on a little hike up to see the Great Stone Snake again. I hiked up to this attraction a couple of years ago, and you can read about it in my post of 6th February 2015. It's only a short hike (less than a mile) up and over a low ridge to the west of us. You can see this snake on google earth, or google maps at coordinates N33 18 02.3, W116 17 35.2

 

There are also various stone creatures and flowers. Here's a turtle.

It's obviously a rattlesnake, and here are the rattles.

And here's the ultimate cure for arthritis. Doreen is just soaking up the warm sunshine of Borrego Springs. This is why she likes the desert of Borrego Springs so much.

 

This is for Sarah. The cat belongs to an RV next door; it looks so much like Kitty. It wanders around all over, but always comes back.

 

Well, after one last trip into Borrego Springs, Miss Travelaire led us out east past the Saltan Sea to a campground called Oasis Palms RV Resort. She wasn't going to climb up that steep hill that we came down west of here! This was the route the GPS lady suggested anyway, to get back to Los Angeles. It was only a short 3/4 hour drive, but it is the start of our trip to the cruise ship terminal at Long Beach in downtown Los Angeles, where we need to go by Saturday afternoon. This is a nice resort, with orange trees right at our campsite!

 

First thing, Doreen started a laundry, and had a shower. When she has a shower at an RV place, you never know what sort of mood she will be in when she comes back. Sometimes the shower facility is so bad, she is upset for the rest of the day. But today, it was a great shower!

 

In the late afternoon/early evening, we were invited to the nightly fireside get together for the RV park. It was about 80% Canadians there. The fire was so nice; its so nice having dry firewood! The couple next to us were from Chiliwack, BC

 

This fellow playing the guitar was very good. He has started up a guitar making business with his family, from Toronto, but they are moving to Newfoundland to operate their business. The guitar he is playing is made exclusively from different Canadian woods, except for the fret board. The neck is Maple, the sound board Sitka Spruce. You can find them on the internet by searching Donovan Leah guitars. We sat and chatted until well after dark. One thing we learned was that the odd light in the sky the other night was a rocket launched for Vandenbergh Air Force base.
