Up Into Washington State

We continued up the coast this morning, and finally said farewell to Oregon at Astoria as we climbed up and over this flimsy looking bridge, which traverses the border with Washington State. There was no interest in the Tillamook Cheese Factory, as the both RVs sailed right on past (we had already toured here a several years ago.)

We headed for another KOA campground at Bay Center, WA(N46 37 17.2, W123 57 15.6). We have camped more times at KOA campgrounds on this trip than on our entire previous camping experience!

The KOAs all have nice playgrounds for the kids.

There is a trail down to the beach (not one of those nice sandy beaches like a few miles south in Oregon!), where the kids gathered sea shells and rocks.

Later, when the tide went out, we could walk away out, much like up at Parksville on Vancouver Island.
