Lazing Around in Georgia

We have spent the last couple of days here at Jerry & Emily's place (N33 23 02.7, W84 03 41.3).  It is a nice 2 acre property out in the country near a little town called Locust Grove, just 40 miles south of Atlanta.

You may notice in the far left of the picture he has bee hives, and we had honey each morning on our toast.

We went for a couple of drives yesterday and today, around the countryside with Jerry, and generally just hung around and had a good time.  Emily works during the day, so we just saw her in the evenings.  So Jerry does the cooking, and provided some good meals.  We invited them out to dinner last night and we went to a Mexican restaurant, which had really good food, but loud loud music!  Here are Doreen and her brother Jerry down at a State Park south of their place (not a good picture):

And here is the gang, after Emily came home from work this evening:

The girl on the left is their daughter Laurie.

It has been mild weather - short sleeves and shorts weather, and at night the temperature is in the mid 50sF.  They keep threatening rain, but there doesn't seem to have been any so far.  We plan to take off tomorrow morning; it is getting to the point where we have to get westward before Doreen's doctor's appointment on the 12th of December!
