We didn't get away from our Corp of Engineers campsite until real late, because we went for a long walk around the large park in the morning. It was a beautiful day, and we traveled through the Osark mountains (hills really), which were beautiful with the autumn leaves (forgot to take any pictures!). And we didn't travel very far, just to Bull Shoals-White River State Park (N36 21 26.5, W92 35 30.6). We had a nice campfire in the evening, but then it got fairly cool. We had electricity here however, so we ran our little electric heater most of the night.
This place was full of fly fishermen. In the morning the river was just teaming with people out in the water in hip waders as well as boats. Here's a picture for all you fly fishing fanatics.
There were literally hundreds of fishermen out there - it's a wonder there are any fish within miles.
Naomi really looks forward to me reading your adventures to her and showing her the pictures. She has been following you on a map and showing that to me as I read your postings to her.. (We continue to pray for a safe trip and mom's family...)
